Fayne ships with a curated library of professional business courses, organized into thematic Tracks. You do not start from a blank page. Every course in the library is fully written, structured, and ready to use. Your job is to pick what fits your audience, add it to your academy, and customize from there.

How content is structured

Content in Fayne follows a four-level hierarchy:

Lesson

One focused piece of learning content. A lesson can combine writing, media, questions, downloads, and interactive blocks. A knowledge check is a graded lesson.

Course

A sequence of lessons in a logical progression, optionally grouped into modules. For example, “Cold Outreach Mastery.”

Track

A group of related courses covering a domain, such as the Sales Mastery Track or the Leadership Track.

Academy

Your complete branded product. What students see as one unified destination at your URL.

Browse and add courses from the library

1

Open Explore

In your owner dashboard, click Explore in the left sidebar. Courses are organized by Track. You can filter by Track or search by keyword.
2

Preview a course before adding it

Click any course to open its detail view. You will see the full lesson outline, estimated duration, and lesson count. Scroll through the outline to confirm the course fits your audience before committing.
Preview a few courses in the same Track to compare outlines. Tracks are designed to work together, but you can add individual courses without adding the entire Track.
3

Add a course to your academy

Click Add to my academy on any course detail page. The course appears in your academy immediately. Students can see and start it once you publish it.

The Explore library and your copy

When you add a course, Fayne copies its content into your academy as your own private version. This is what lets you customize freely. Here is how it works:
  • Adding a course copies its content into your academy. From that moment, every lesson is your own copy. You edit it in place, by hand or with AI.
  • Your edits never touch the Library or any other academy. Each academy has its own independent copies.
  • Library improvements apply to future additions only. When Fayne improves a course in the Explore library, those updates flow into academies that add the course afterward. Courses already in your academy are not changed.
Copies are made per lesson when you add a course. Every lesson in an added course is an independent copy that you own and can edit.
This gives you professionally authored content as a starting point, with the freedom to make any lesson sound exactly like you.

Organize your catalog with collections

Collections group and order courses in your catalog. They help students browse by topic, but they never decide who can open a course.
1

Open Courses

Go to Courses. Your course board is grouped by collection. Courses that are not in a collection appear under More courses.
2

Create a collection

Click Create collection, add a name and optional description, then save.
3

Move a course

Open the course’s menu, choose Move to collection, then pick the destination.
4

Reorder everything

Click Organize courses. Drag courses within or between collections, reorder the collections themselves, then save.
5

Choose each collection's layout

Each collection can display as a grid or a slider in the student catalog. Mix them to give big flagship collections room and keep smaller ones compact.
Students browsing a catalog with collections get a sticky navigation bar that follows them as they scroll, so they can jump straight to any collection. On your side, the Courses page has a collection filter, which keeps a large library manageable.
Collections organize the catalog only. To control access, set a course to Free, Paid, or Members-only, or include it in an offer.

The course menu

Each course card on the Courses page has a menu with everything you can do to the course as a whole:

Course settings

Opens the course’s settings dialog (see Course settings below) without opening the editor.

Edit thumbnail

Opens the course settings on the Design tab, where you set the cover image and thumbnail.

Duplicate

Creates a content-only copy in the same academy, named with “(copy)”, as a draft with your default access setting. Lessons, thumbnail, collection, and certificate settings come along; enrollments, pricing, and progress do not. Use it to build a new version of a course without touching the live one.

Copy to academy

Shown when you own more than one academy. Pick a destination and the course is copied there as a draft, keeping its title. The collection is dropped because collections belong to each academy. The success toast offers Undo for a moment in case of a mis-click.

Move to collection

Put the course in a collection, or take it out.

Delete

Removes the course. Students who are already enrolled lose access immediately.
Both copies count toward your course limits. Copy to academy is available to admins as well as the owner, as long as both academies belong to the same owner.

Course settings

Open a course in the editor and click the gear in the top bar to reach its settings dialog. The tabs are: Next to the gear, the chart icon (Course insights) opens the course’s own analytics, including quiz and knowledge-check results. See Analytics.

Structure the lessons

Inside the editor, the lesson sidebar is where you shape the course:
  • Add lesson creates a blank lesson. The chevron next to it also offers Add knowledge check and Add module.
  • Modules group lessons into named chapters that show on the course page and in the lesson viewer.
  • Knowledge checks are graded quiz lessons with a pass mark that can lock the lessons after them.
  • Drag lessons to reorder them. Lessons with a video or a check show an icon in the list.

Build your own course

You are not limited to the pre-built courses in the library. You can create your own course from scratch and write its lessons, by hand or with AI, or generate a whole course from a brief.

Courses in the works

At the top of the Courses page, the In the works row holds courses that aren’t finished courses yet:
  • Drafts: courses Fayne is generating right now, with their status (“Drafting the outline”, “Outline ready for your review”, “Writing lesson 3 of 8”). Click Continue or Follow along to open the generation screen.
  • Briefs: the other courses Fayne planned for your academy during setup (see Quickstart). Each brief shows the course’s title, its promise, and how many lessons it plans.
Click Open brief to build one. The course builder opens with the brief already filled in, sized to what your AI credits cover (never fewer than 3 lessons). Adjust anything, then Create outline. Building from a brief works on every plan, the free trial included, and draws from your AI credits like any generation (about 10 credits per lesson). If a course needs more credits than you have left, Fayne tells you how many it needs so you can shorten it or add credits. Don’t want a brief? Hover it and delete it (Delete brief). It is removed from your academy plan; your courses aren’t affected. Once you build a brief, it becomes a course and moves into your course list like any other.

Set what students will learn

Each course detail page shows a “What you’ll learn” box. By default it lists your course’s lesson titles. To make the promise sharper, open the course’s detail page editor and write your own learning points: add, edit, or reorder them as plain lines. Students and your preview see your version in place of the lesson titles. If you ever want the default back, use Reset to lesson titles.
Yes. Inside any course, click Add lesson to open the block editor with a blank canvas. You can write entirely original lessons, use AI to help draft them, and mix them freely with library lessons in the same course.
Nothing. The lessons in your academy are your own copies. Improvements Fayne makes to the Explore Library apply only to courses added after the update. Courses already in your academy stay exactly as you left them.
Yes. Open the course menu and select Delete, or use the Danger zone in course settings. Students who are already enrolled lose access immediately.
